The penis is part of the male genital reproductive system. The penis is made up of very little adipose tissue (fat). Its fullness may make it a more sensual part of the male body.
The penis may not have the girth or width that you like. It may look deflated and this may be accentuated with ageing. The penis may lose its attractiveness or sensuality.
The penis can be revitalized and rejuvenated by means of autogenous fat grafting or lipofilling. Fat injections to the less sensual penis will help increase its girth but not its length.
Two interventions in cosmetic surgery, liposuction and fat injection, are strategically applied during penile enlargement. The liposuction is performed from specific parts of the body where fat deposits are localised, using a hollow metal surgical instrument called a cannula. The fat can be harvested from different parts of the body such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, back and other places through small incisions.
Once the unwanted fat is extracted, it is concentrated. The adipose (fatty) tissue is separated from other body tissues and then purified. The processed fat is then re-injected to the penis by multiple injections at different depths to obtain the best results.
The best candidates for a penis enlargement using fat grafting are:
- in good health
- emotionally well-balanced
- men who have realistic expectations about what this surgery can accomplish
- men who have excess weight or have a sufficient amount of localized fat
- men who choose male penile enhancement using their own fat
Alternative treatments
At the present time, Dr. Cordoba does not practice any procedure regarding girth enhancement or lenghtening of the penis.
Fat grafting to the penis is considered elective surgery. One option would be not to undergo penile enlargement using fat grafting. Fillers containing hyaluronic acid and other products can enlarge the volume of the penis. A dermal fat graft procedure may work well. An Alloderm (donated human dermis) graft procedure may also increase penile girth.
Any of the above procedures can cause penile distortion, irregularities, nodules, lumps, and even become infected or cause shortening and possible curvature, to cause permanent deformities.
